The 63 upright tines are made of smooth, rounded, high-quality UV-resistant plastic, and each one flexes slightly in any direction when pushed. This allows the plant's root system to expand in a way that traditional pots do not, as their sidewalls are unyielding, unlike the Carousel's. Maximum light transmission and airflow are ensured, as there are virtually no traditional sides to the pot.
